Pastor Dan is entering into his 43th year of ministry as a pastor and educator. His deepest desire is that people come to a deep mature relationship with Jesus. He strives to develop ongoing relationships with the people in his community, either in his congregation or in his classroom. Dan looks for bridges that create friendships and so he had a congregational cycling team for 8 years, has gone on mission trips with high school kids, has gone backpacking with men from church, has taken seven groups to the Holy Land (and an eighth in January 2021), and eats a lot of lunches with people.
Dan taught middle school, high school, and served in higher education for 25 years and has been in pastoral ministry for the last eighteen years. Concurrently he teaches Intro. to Theology classes to students at Concordia University, Ann Arbor, and is excited to serve at Cross of Christ as their vacancy pastor.
Dan is married to Gail (an amazing woman) for the last 36.5 years. They have two daughters, Emilie and Anna. Emilie is married to Burke. Anna is married to Tucker and they have one daughter, Flynn. Dan and Gail are loving the role of grandparent.
