Mission of the Month – Lutherans in Jewish Evangelism

May’s Mission of the Month is Lutherans in Jewish Evangelism AKA Burning Bush Ministries.

The mission of Burning is: to reveal Jesus to the Jewish people, to educate the church body regarding the need for evangelism and the richness of the Jewish roots of Christianity.

For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes, first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. Romans 1:16

Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope you have. But do this with gentleness and respect. 1 Peter 3:15

Most Jewish people are secular (not religious) and have little knowledge of the Old Testament.

It’s estimated that 65% of Jewish people deny the existence of God…related to the Holocaust.  All the Jewish holidays point to Jesus.  Your Jewish friend or neighbor may respond positively to your interest in his/her faith and an explanation of your “personal relationship “with Jesus.

There are over 90,000 Jewish people living in the metro Detroit area…you must know one: a neighbor, co-worker, doctor, lawyer or friend. Don’t be afraid to share your faith with them.
You might be the only Gospel they ever hear! Jesus is their Messiah, too!

Pray for the work of Jewish evangelism, that God would touch our hearts to pray for, bless and witness to the Jewish people we know.
