Our mission of the month for May is St. Paul Community Lutheran Church in Pontiac. https://www.stpaulpontiac.com/ They serve the folks in Pontiac with a variety of ministries and have done so for a number of years. Their mission statement is “Meeting the people where they are, with the Gospel that changes lives.”
St. Paul’s is a multi-cultural church, serving a diverse community in Pontiac. Offering a Bilingual Sunday worship service, weekly Bible studies, and Family night dinners, as well as food and clothing assistance to those in need are just samples of how the church is growing and serving. Our donations will help support those services as well as some needed facility improvements and repairs.
In addition to the monetary collection, we will also be coordinating a project this spring to provide an outdoor brick paved patio area for prayer and meditation adjacent to their main building. Details and dates to follow, as weather permits. Please watch for a sign up sheet and consider also donating some time to this “hands on” group effort.
