Michigan Hands on Haiti was born from the past mission trips Cross of Christ would take to Port Au Prince. The founding members of the nonprofit saw a greater need for one orphanage in particular, run by Pastor Mario Jeannis of the Children’s Dream Center. Since its start, Mi HonH has been able to provide medical care, schooling, clean water, electricity, updated facilities, for 12 children in need of care and a place to live. We have helped to start a sustainability project, providing a garden space for the orphanage and community. Currently, due to the pandemic, expenses have increased and the American dollar has decreased in value while prices continue to rise for fuel, food, and education causing a budget deficit. Monthly expenses without education are now in excess of $1700 and education costs have tripled in the past year to $7600. The help we have received over the years has allowed us to make amazing changes to the orphanage. The sustainability project has provided fresh food for the children and Pastor’s community. It is our hope to grow the sustainability project to a larger garden space and use the current protected space to build a school. You can be a part of making this happen! You can help by praying for us, sharing us on social media, attending future events, volunteering, attending mission trips or donating. We have not been able to get this far without you! Thank you for your support!
