POBLO (People of the Book Lutheran Outreach) is a Christian mission organization working to transform the way missions is done in the United States.
POBLO is a non-profit Christian organization that is passionate about sharing the love of Jesus with Muslims and other immigrants and refugees living in the United States. Unlike in the past, Christians do not have to go overseas to do mission work – the mission field is in our front yard.
Before we can share the love of Jesus, we must first bridge the gap between Americans and Muslims and other immigrant groups. We reach out in friendship and love and build relationships and trust between missionaries and volunteers who are sharing the Gospel and people from other cultures. POBLO helps with refugee settlement, ESL (English as a second language classes) as well as International Friendship Centers. Pray for POBLO and its missionaries and people they engage, that God will open hardened hearts to see and know Jesus as their Savior. Pray that God would open the hearts of Christians to share the love of Jesus with Muslims and other immigrant people that God puts in their paths.
